| Benjamin is teaching the Early Church History class this Fall here at The Center. You can't be around Benjamin very long before you catch his excitement for learning, growing, and teaching. He is a graduate student at BSU, graduating in a few weeks. Last Saturday at the BSC banquet, Ben shared about his experience at BSU and how The Center, Cornerstone and relationships he has developed around here have played a part in his education and influenced his life. To me Ben's story is evidence that God is using this place as a tool to advance His purposes. (Ben - I hope you like the picture I found of you. I guess people will have to come to The Center to get to see you without the helmet.)

Hi, my name is Benjamin Brandon. Maybe you've seen me around the Center... I am taking the Biblical Greek course here, going to the Synergy group that meets here on Tuesdays, and in the fall I'll be teaching a course on the History of Early Christianity. The Center has been one of my favorite places to hang out at over the past year, and not just because there is free coffee, or a ping-pong table downstairs, or computers with internet (which I am currently using), or a quiet library upstairs... I like the center because there are a lot of good people here----even as I write this, a friend just walked in the doors of the center. I am tempted to stop writing to talk to him for a second, lol, but that only confirms my point: there is a sense of community here at the center that I have not found anywhere else on campus at Boise State. Since I've started hanging out here, I've met more people than I've met during any other year I've spent in college. And the people I've met have turned out to be real friends, which can be hard to find on such a big college campus. I'm excited to meet new people at The Center next Fall---I'm still looking for someone I can beat at ping-pong.
