Brand New Puncture Proof Tires

Brand New Puncture Proof Tires
by Monty Moreland
I purchased brand new tires last week. These were not cheap tires. Since I bike commute daily, I splurged and got the ones that are supposed to prevent punctures. These things cost as much as my car tires! On the way out of the store when I bought them, the salesman warned, "If you pick up a thorn in one of these, you still need to pull it out. If you leave it in it will eventually find its way through and give you a flat." A week later on my ride home I noticed that my back tire was a little soft. I ignored it and made it home. The next morning I prepared to ride and found my back tire flat....

Thanks Volunteers!
Thanks to a group of volunteers from Crossroads Community Church organized by instructor Jeremy Graves many projects were worked on last Sunday. Goat heads were removed, a shelf installed, a bulletin board hung, technology improvements were made, prep was started for pouring concrete in front of the new shed, refinishing of the stair rail was begun...
There have been several other individual volunteers. Dr. John Free did various jobs including yard work and cleaning, Kurtis Beckwith has worked on multiple technical improvements, and various others have helped in multiple ways.
I appreciate the spirit of community that continues to develop.
There are still things around the building that need some help. Running phone lines, more yard maintenance, some setup for a sound system... This kind of thing seems to never end! Let us know if you can give some time. Thanks!
