Free Thursday Lunch @ The Center - Enrollment closes Friday

Enrollment Closes Friday. Fall Semester is well underway. It is still not too late to enroll in a class. Enrollment is open through Friday, Sept. 3. I am encouraged by the ways I have seen students maturing and growing since Spring 2010. Beginning in a new way that semester I have seen God moving in the lives of students to turn their hearts toward Him. In addition to this, I have witnessed students who are actively giving their lives to follow Jesus and serve those around them. There is a great line-up of classes underway and many other relationships and plans forming through Cornerstone and other campus ministries... this semester is quickly shaping into one that God can use for His glory. I ask for your prayers as we continue to move forward. There is always an evil one lurking who wants to kill, steal and destroy. Last week we had a good group... the largest ever for the beginning of a semester. Please plan to come and use the free lunch as a time to re-connect with friends, to meet new people, and to have a non-threatening place to bring non-believers as God draws them to him. This week John Moreland, Rachelle Roberson and Belynda Brandon are preparing lunch. We are looking for volunteers for meals this semester. Please reply if you can help. Open dates: September 9, & 23 October 14 November 11 December 2 & 9 Small Group The Truth about Sex, Wednesdays at 7:30 PM beginning Sept 8. Monty and Mari Beth Moreland will lead this 6 week study. This is a study of what God has to say about sex. He knows all about it... he invented it. Our culture seems to provide nothing but confusion on the topic. We will take 6 weeks to lay a foundation so you can filter out the garbage, avoid the pain of following through with the world's lies, restore brokenness if you have believed the lies, and know how to stand up under pressure from the world to fall into immature thinking... all according to what God says about it. Contact Monty if you would like more information. Volunteers Needed There are several things around the building that need some help. We are setting up a new PC in the office and in the classroom. Maintenance of the library and other public PCs is needed. Cleaning and yard work around the grounds is needed.
