Talk 1: Is Christianity still relevant? (A look at the dynamics of the birth of Christianity and what it means for us today)

Talk 2: Christianity and Culture: Understanding what culture is and ways Christians can rethink their engagement in it. (This lecture will be based largely on Hunter's "To Change the World" and Barzun's "From Dawn to Decadence")


Talk 3: The Gospel in today's world: The challenge and call of the church going forward (This lecture will be based largely on theme's found in Newbigin's "The Gospel in a Pluralist Society")

Biography:

Mario Alejandre is currently the Outreach Coordinator with Utah Leadership Initiative in Salt Lake City, UT. His goal is to engage with others from different backgrounds and opinions in fair, civil dialogue. Currently, he oversees "Barstool Seminary," a weekly meeting at a local pub where this type of discourse and dialogue is modeled.

In addition to his work with the Utah Leadership Initiative, he is completing a M.A. in Christian Apologetics from Biola University. He is a proud alumnus of the University of Utah where he received his Bachelor of Science degree in Philosophy.

Volunteer Opportunitues
Recently a new shed was built which we are very thankful for! There are several things that need to be done to complete it: caulking and painting are the most pressing needs to ensure the siding is not damaged by rain. Please reply if you are able to give some time to this. Thanks!
